Barbara Ann Corcoran
Barbara Ann Corcoran was a speaker, investor, and businesswoman from the United American. She founded The Corcoran Group, a real estate brokerage in New York City, which she sold to NRT for $66 million in 2001, and shortly after, she left the company. Corcoran has participated in 12 of ABC's Shark Tank seasons. She has participated in 53 deals as of February of 2020. The most significant was a $350,000 purchase to cover 40 percent of Coverplay. Corcoran was the second child of 10 children born to an Irish-Catholic couple working in the middle class living in Edgewater, New Jersey. [8] Her mother, Florence, was a homemaker. Edwin W. Corcoran Jr. her father, was a skilled worker throughout Corcoran's childhood. In times, her family relied upon deliveries of food for free from a local grocery store. Corcoran remembers her father as an alcohol-dependent drunkard who often treated her mother with disrespect and disrespect, especially when he had been drinking. Corcoran struggled with her education and was eventually diagnosed with dyslexia. Corcoran entered in high school at St. Cecilia High School Englewood following her time at a Catholic elementary school. Corcoran was fluent in several courses during her freshman year. She transferred to Leonia High School and graduated with a D.
